Jamie Potts

Commercial Manager

Jamie started his construction career over 12 years ago, working as a labourer whilst studying full-time at Sunderland College. After college, Jamie gained a place on an intensive higher apprenticeship program, ‘PlanBEE’, focusing on the technical and managerial aspects of design and construction whilst getting on and off the job training, from some of the construction industry’s leading companies.

On completion of the PlanBEE course, Jamie achieved a HND in Construction and the Built Environment with a Distinction Grade and was offered full-time employment. Jamie continued working full-time as a Quantity Surveyor and studying part-time at Northumbria University, where he achieved a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Quantity Surveying with First Class Honours.

Throughout his employment Jamie discovered his passion and appreciation of renewable engineering and decarbonation, which led to his decision to move to ISG and begin working on the Britishvolt: Gigaplant. Jamie’s eagerness to continue working in renewable engineering sector, led him to Green Leaf Engineering, where he is currently enjoying the opportunity to work with many of the UK’s top contractors, helping them to achieve their renewable energy and reduced carbon goals.

A Word from Jamie…

‘For myself, it is an amazing feeling and opportunity to work for a company and with a team that is dedicated to achieving the UK’s net-zero goals.’
