GREEN LEAF ENGINEERING

Dan Burns

Technical Director

Dan started his career as an apprentice at a Tier One Building Services Contractor as a Junior Project Engineer, his early career involved full time working with day release to Leeds College of Building where he graduated with a HND in Building Services Engineering. From there he continued to develop his skills working on multiple large-scale commercial projects as a Lead Project Manager.

Within Dan’s role his exposure to decarbonisation became more involved as the legalisation and regulation required more from engineering companies in the form of renewable technologies and green energy. From there he found a real passion for making buildings more efficient and being on the cutting edge of this movement. Dan decided to move away from the operational world, moving into pre-construction and design which allowed him to make a fundamental difference to how projects are built.

Currently Dan is working with a multitude of Tier One Clients developing processes and technologies which will shape the way Construction Projects are delivered in the future.

A word from Dan…

‘Renewable Engineering is the most important aspect of a building in modern day construction. The technologies that Green Leaf are fortunate enough to offer our clients make a fundamental difference in how our country will manage their sustainability moving forward.  The race for energy production is vital to our country’s future, and it is an absolute privilege to be on the front line of this movement’
